Allied Healthcare

Syan provides IT hardware, software and network infrastructure to all Allied Healthcare branches in the UK, covering PCs, servers, printers, LAN and WAN solutions plus software from Microsoft, Novell, Citrix and other suppliers. This entire infrastructure, including the cabling, is implemented and supported on- and off-site by Syan.

Carillion

In 2006, Syan was awarded a contract to participate in the deployment of some 4,000 new and refurbished PCs across 250 locations nationwide. As well as securing this project with Carillion, Syan took over the hardware maintenance contract for the former Mowlem PC population, which was added to the existing maintenance contract for Carillion's systems.

Devro

Devro operates a truly state-of-the-art ICT configuration in Scotland and the maximum allowed business outage had to come down to one day . Syan knew all the ins and outs of High Availability and swiftly moved into action - today Devro has a guaranteed maximum business downtime of a mere one-hour.

Finning (UK)

Syan first started working with Finning (UK) in 2001 when they were awarded the Hardware Maintenance Contract to look after PC, Server and LAN equipment. Today the contract incorporates equipment supply, testing, UK-wide installation to desk services, on-site resource provision and lease exit services. On average, since the inception of the contract, Finning (UK) have refreshed approximately 400 PCs per annum.

John Charcol

When John Charcol, the UK's leading mortgage broker, regained its independent status it was faced with the daunting prospect of establishing a complete new hardware, software and communications infrastructure in just three months. Until the buy-out, their hardware and software support services were hosted and managed for Bradford & Bingley by BT and IBM. Syan and Data Technology replaced Charcol's existing communications network, Branch servers were replaced and relocated in Syan's state of the art, 24/7 and highly secure data centre in Telford within the stipulated deadline thus avoiding significant penalty costs.

Roxel UK

In early 2006 Syan was awarded a 5-year managed service contract with Roxel UK, world leader in Intensive Munition Technologies. The contract covers supply, support and maintenance for Roxel's complete IT infrastructure including desktops, serviers and their local- and wide-area network. Application management services for Roxel's Oracle-based ERP application is also included in the contract.
