Our second data centre is located in Newport, Shropshire and provides Disaster Recovery
and Business Continuity facilities in addition to a secure data centre.

Air Conditioning
Use of Refrigerants

Multiple independent air conditioning units (n+1 configuration) each providing 73kW
of cooling capacity.
All air conditioning units meet EU legislation for the utilisation of Non ODP (Ozone
Depleting Potential) substances in accordance with EU2037/2000. A replacement programme
is in place to withdraw HCFC models prior to 2010.

of cooling capacity.
All air conditioning units fully meet EU legislation for the utilisation of Non
ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) substances in accordance with EU2037/2000, and comply
with the requirements of the legislation post 2010.

Data Network Services and Telecomms Services

Both sites are served by two telecommunication exchanges providing substantial capacity
and service redundancy. In addition, there is a dedicated dark fibre link between
the Hortonwood and Newport sites backed by a 100Mb LES link offering significant
resilience. |

ACS Syan regularly reviews energy usage and introduces environmental policies and
energy saving initiatives in accordance with ACS Syan Environmental Policy. |
