Syan has a proven track record in delivering a high quality service that
meets the needs of its customers. The experience gained in implementing
and managing business critical systems across a wide range of companies
in a variety of industries has enabled us to understand what our customers
need, and how best to meet, and exceed, their expectations.
Our System Hosting and Management solutions offer customers a flexible
range of services from simple remote monitoring through to taking complete
ownership and responsibility for delivering IT services. Syan provides
these services for all mid-range and Intel server systems with special
expertise in IBM's eServer iSeries, pSeries and xSeries systems. Our operators
are currently monitoring and managing over 250 systems on a 24 hour a
day basis.
The level of service demanded by our customers has to be achieved at
an economic price. This is achieved in two ways, by centralising as much
of the workload as possible and through the use of automation tools such
as our own Automated Operations
System (AOS) and IBM’s Tivoli solutions.
Centralisation enables us to ensure that staff with the necessary technical
and operational skills can support our customers’ systems 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year.
Automation enables us to keep human intervention to a minimum, reducing
the risk of errors and maximising operator efficiency. Although this means
that there is a higher than usual initial investment, the result is a
higher quality service, that is easier to adapt, without the need to increase
operational costs.
