Performance Navigator
Performance Navigator is a Windows-based iSeries/i5 product that provides
graphical support for day-to-day performance management, drill-down problem
determination and capacity planning for all models of IBM iSeries and i5
computer systems. Versions of OS/400 supported range from V3R2 through V5R3.
PerfNav provides over 500 graphs and reports, automated by schedulers, with
user-defined frequencies, to provide management with the levels of
summarization and detail required to support service level agreements, internal
goals, etc. Extensive support is provided for modelling LPARs, fractional
processors, and virtualisation of resources. Specific functions support server
consolidation, LPAR configuration and modelling of capped and uncapped
virtualisation of LPARs. Performance Navigator is priced by CPU Serial # with
no "p-group" or LPAR consequences.
Power Navigator
Power Navigator is a Windows-based performance management and capacity
planning tool. Designed primarily for the large account user and Business
Partner market, PowerNav captures AIX and Linux workload performance metrics,
and models these workloads to target pSeries/p5 and i5 LPAR models. PowerNav
provides the capacity planning professional with the graphical display of
workload and system model selections to support hardware purchasing decisions.
